Role:In support of the effective and efficient operation of the distribution warehouse, the Operations Support Coordinator is responsible for providing systems and inventory support to Operations. Through the application of systems expertise, the Operations Support Coordinator supports a number of key processes from pick strategies, warehouse layout, and productivity measurements to inventory practices as well as assisting the functional leads in troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving process and system failures. In addition the Operations Support Coordinator coordinates cross functional system testing for changes or upgrades to the operational systems.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in all administrative and operational functions as directed by the Operations Manager
  • Assist and communicate with Clients and Carriers to ensure that orders and communications are responded to
  • Run Pre-routes, perform pick face inquires together with the creation of primary pick faces within the Client systems
  • Assist the Team Leader and Operations Manager with respect to manpower planning
  • Oversee the control and administration requirements of the Voice Picking systems
  • Inform Client of receiving reports via email or fax
  • Update and file inventory transaction/analysis reports and have available to Clients upon request
  • Operate lifting devices such as reach truck, order picker, counter balance, and double walkie when required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

Qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including written communication skills (process documentation experience an asset)
  • Ability to analyze, plan, organize and prioritize effectively
  • Thorough knowledge of third party logistics services and processes
  • Proficiency using Microsoft office applications
  • Post secondary education and/or a combination of relevant experience and education
  • Valid forklift operator’s license
  • Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment
