The System Administrator will be a valuable member in contributing to SCI’s future. Supporting our Madill and Edwards operations, this individual will be responsible for the installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and repair of the distribution’s Dematic Automation Solution and assisting on troubleshooting system and related equipment supporting client’s WMS. This will include system administration of thin clients, printers (label & laser), Dematic DiQ, LAN, as well as RF devices. The successful candidate for this position will have strong interpersonal, decision making, problem solving, and analytical skills. The schedule for this role will include a variety of shifts (including off-hours shift coverage), weekends, and holidays. Lastly, as a member of our core team, the right person for the role will be a leading example of our culture.

You will provide first level support to troubleshoot any problems experienced by production equipment, including Dematic DiQ, GLS, and SAP as related to the facility automation solution.
Install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software on or related to thin Clients, printers (label/laser), PC networks, LAN, and RF devices.
Run and monitor batch jobs, such as integrated store order processing and print picking documentation (labels).
You will provide technical support for standard and proprietary desktop software (i.e. SAP, GLS, and Dematic DiQ).
Maintain and troubleshoot networking problems and systems (PC networking, including switches and cabling, RF wireless systems, etc).
Maintain and troubleshoot proprietary material handling software and systems from vendors, such as Dematic.
You will support Performance Reporting, including development and troubleshooting of Operational Dashboards.
Answer questions regarding PC/printer software/hardware issues, and make IT recommendations.
Help onboard, setup, and train new Dematic users.
Interact with support desks and the Client for both external Dematic, GLS, and internal SAP, providing next level up technical resources with investigative research, questions asked, and troubleshooting undertaken along with remaining outstanding issues to support end-user needs.
You will relate to a diverse group of people, including team members, senior management, business customers, and vendors with courtesy and in a constructive, professional manner.
What you bring to the role:
High School Diploma/GED and previous experience in a technical support function.
Associate’s Degree, Technical Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is a plus.
You have experience at a distribution center or manufacturing environment, including Conveyor Automation, Warehouse Execution Systems, System Servers, thin clients, LAN, and RF devices.
Experience following processes, recommending improvements, translating technical terms to non-technical users, solving technical problems, and working in a team environment.
Experience building and maintaining databases and KPI/Performance dashboards, such as Web, Access and SQL.
You have experience coordinating service requests with the appropriate IT team.
Experience with operating production laser printers and thermal transfer printers (i.e. Zebra).
Experience with SAP and Dematic DiQ preferred.
You have knowledge of various equipment pieces, including printers, terminals, PCs, RF communication hardware, etc.
Knowledge of personal computer hardware and operating systems, as well as network topologies.
You have knowledge of various softwares, such as Microsoft Windows operating system, MSOffice Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, etc.
