In support of the effective and efficient operation of the distribution warehouse, the Operations Support Coordinator is responsible for providing systems support to the Operations. Through the application of systems expertise, the Operations Support Coordinator supports a number of key processes from pick strategies, warehouse layout, and productivity measurements to inventory practices as well as assisting the functional leads in troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving process and system failures.

This individual will support our Midnight shift operations:

Shift: Sunday to Thursday 10 pm to 6 am with flexibility to work other shifts as required

Start Date: April / May 2019

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in all administrative and operational functions as directed by the Operations Manager
  • Assist and communicate with Clients to ensure that orders and communications are responded to
  • Run Pre-routes, perform pick face inquires together with the creation of primary pick faces within the Dollar Tree systems
  • Perform all necessary product/sku allocations as required by the Dollar Tree systems
  • Assist the Team Lead and Operations Manager with respect to manpower planning
  • Oversee the control and administration requirements of the Voice Picking systems
  • Inform Client of receiving reports via email or fax
  • Responsible for scheduling Dollar Tree appointments via email and phone requests. Also includes carrier appointments
  • Manage shipping lanes, grid notes as well as assigning trailer loading grids
  • Prepare paperwork for outbound shipments
  • Print labels for orders and assign work IDs
  • Ensure control of the yard and provide alternatives when needed
  • Perform investigations were required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience in a warehouse environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills (process documentation experience an asset)
  • Ability to analyze, plan, organize and prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency using Microsoft office applications
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Post-secondary education and/or a combination of relevant experience and education
  • Valid forklift operator’s license an asset
  • Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment required
  • Experience with Voice Pick (VoCollect) an asset
