The Recertification Printer Technician will be responsible for cleaning, repairing, and testing new and used customer units for deployment. The technician must understand the components of a printer. Additional responsibilities are refurbishment or return-to-vendor/manufacturer; unpack, build and configure equipment of new units as required; pack and stage as per deployment schedule, and functional testing of used units following SCI’s standards and best practices. This position will also play a supporting role assisting configuration and the repair department and warehouse operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • • Run diagnostics and testing of units.
  • Work in a safe manner and adhere to all Company policies and procedures as well as Health and Safety Regulations
  • Ability to multi task.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex issues.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with business and technical team members.
  • Perform general warehouse functions such as: picking, packing, shipping, and receiving
  • Perform work in accordance with account specific Standard Operating Procedures at acceptable productivity level
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers and colleagues
  • Maintain an organized and clean environment
  • Perform other general warehousing duties as assigned by Management

Job Specification/Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of configuration or product repair experience
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude, high energy, self-motivated individual who demonstrates flexibility and adaptability
  • Able to lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable using MS Office
  • Field Service Support an asset
  • A+ would be an asset
  • PDI + would be an asset
  • Experience working with Xerox. Ricoh, Lexmark printers an asset
  • Printer certifications an asset
